Crispy Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves roughly chopped
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1½ pounds Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- ½ lemon
- Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- In a large skillet combine the oil, thyme, and red pepper flakes and heat over medium-high heat for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the Brussels sprouts and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown, stirring frequently to make sure they cook evenly.
- A minute before the Brussels sprouts are done, add the garlic and stir to combine.
- Remove from the heat, squeeze in the lemon juice from ½ lemon, and season with salt and pepper.
- Taste and adjust the lemon juice, salt and pepper as needed. Serve immediately.
